Last summer, a few of us SNHDCTA members made the trek up to Spring Creek farm in Lyman, Maine. Steuart Pittman was putting on an eventing clinic and we wanted to try him out (-:
And what a great trip it was. The facilities were amazing. Spring Creek also serves as a therapeutic riding center and we were amazed with the technology in the therapeutic-designated indoor.
The dressage and stadium lessons were held in the outdoor and cross country was held just a few miles down the road at a neighboring barn. The x-c course was more challenging than Green Acres in Madbury, NH, where the club is hosting Steuart on May 14 and 15. There was some serious grade to the field and the grass was high. There were ditches and steps, it was grand!

The best thing I picked up from Steuart... GALLOP SECURELY. Practice it! Get out in a field and do it! I'm in pretty good shape, but at the end of that 12 jump course, AJ and I were TOAST. We'd better start conditioning now.
Steuart has a very calm manor and that translates into a very productive, easy-to-digest lesson. I'm going all-in this time. I'll ride both days in group lessons, my gelding will even bunk at Green Acres Saturday night.

SNHDCTA is lucky enough to have Steuart Pittman, Jr back for a 2nd year for our combined training clinic.  The venue we picked for this years clinic is great for all levels; Green Acres Stables in Madbury, NH.  Whether you are experienced or just wanting to "try out CT" Green Acres has something for you.  They have tiny logs, to water, to steps, ditches - so this is a GREAT place to come if you've never evented before but always thought you would want to.

Steuart loves working with all levels of riders, but he especially likes to work with beginner riders and green horses.  If this describes you or your mount, this is the clinic for you.  His laid back but experienced way of teaching will have you pushing yourself.  Look forward to seeing you all there.

When: May 14 and 15

Steuart Pittman is based at Dodon Farm in Davidsonville, MD where he competes his stallion Salute the Truth at Advanced level. He also trains and shows many young horses at the lower levels.

Steuart has become a very popular clinician, both locally and nationally, at small barns and at large venues such as the Maryland Horse World Expo. His rates are reasonable, and his style is both effective and entertaining and he enjoys teaching all ages in all disciplines.
